I have been doing a fair bit of technology blogging over at my old blog these past few years. I wonder if this might not be abetter platform for it, however. Anyone have any interest in things like processor chipsets, new wireless and USB standards, hard drive specs, notebook technologies and whatnot? If so I might just move that kind of stuff here instead.

I wouldn’t mind reading that sort of stuff. I like it, but most tech blogs are (I know this sounds silly) ugly, cluttered, and ad-heavy, so I just don’t read them very often.
If I could read that kind of stuff on a comfortable blog (how I think of sites like this one and Ambient Irony) that I already read on a regular basis, then it would be a boon.
Plus, it would help to fill this blog out a bit more. Your posts here sometimes happen lass than once a day, which is a traffic killer. I know fame isn’t the goal here, but I assume a small regular readership is. 🙂
I certainly enjoy the blog as it is, and am not usually keen to telling people how to run their own affairs, so I hope all of the above is taken in the spirit of earnestly friendly advice in which it is offered. 🙂
yes, acting as a layman’s filter is part of my goal, since I approach this stuff from the geek-service perspective rather than a Professional 🙂 I just like technology and I had a feeling that the overlap in audience interest would be high.
and yeah, I do want to try to keep things humming around here a bit more – I just need to make sure I keep the right balance! Don”t want to have to photoshop in a SATA drive on top of Reki’s halo above..
