I’m in Honolulu this week attending the ISMRM conference. Neither paradise nor intense technical sessions are conducive to blogging, but I have been getting some great photos of late. Here’s a slideshow of my photos thus far…
This is amazing – a photographer wanted the perfect photo of a sunset framed by a long pier. So, using math and information from websites like Google Maps and the US Naval Observatory, he calculated what day the Sun would appear at the ideal angle to catch the shot. And here’s the result:

It’s so cheap to register a custom plate in Wisconsin that I just couldn’t resist. I’m going to remain agnostic about whether my plate is big-endian or little-endian, though.
…must come to and end, including an amazing trip in Colombo. And, hopefully, the trip home from hell. Its early morning in London where I am holed up in a hotel, having missed my connection in Heathrow due to an 8 hour delay departing Colombo (due to the runway accident at Heathrow a few days ago which has shut down a runway). I should be home in 12 hours or so.
