I’d just like to point out that Eli responds in depth (like several of his long posts) to every single criticism here (post/comments). Not that that makes him right, just that he’s not wrong for the reasons anyone here gives.

The difference between a heuristic and an algorithm is subtle enough that I just had to look it up just now after your comment, Steven. I am glad I did so, you are absolutely right and that is a very powerfully concise critique.

I always find it amusing when someone uses Occam’s razor in an attempt to dismiss the idea of God. After all, Occam was a Catholic priest. Not that it matters, but it’s funny…
