I know it's locked down and you can't put any other software on it, but the user experience of the iPhone really is about 10-100 times better than any other phone I've come into contact with, including blackberries and other smart phones. It does everything I could ever want in a phone, and it appears to do it well. The $200 price drop does make you wonder just how arbitrarily high they price these things though. On the other hand, I'm now seriously considering a purchase. Perhaps I'm falling for their variation on the "Compromise Effect", but I want one. That post is hilarious, but I still want an iPhone.
